"Joining choir was one of the best decisions I made in my four years at Mater Dei. Choir became one of my second homes. I knew I wanted to join choir the first time I heard the Chamber Singers sing when they came to my school for a festival. I’ll never forget watching how much fun they were having and the undeniable joy they had from singing together. After this moment, I knew without a doubt that I would join choir in high school, and I have loved it ever since. Through choir I have made my some of closest friends. There is absolutely nothing comparable to making music with your best friends and I wouldn’t trade the experiences I’ve had and the memories I’ve made in choir for the world. Choir is really interesting because it is made up of so many different types of people. Whether you play a sport, or are in a bunch of clubs, or the only thing you do is choir, choir is a home for you, for everyone. "In Bel Canto I was surrounded by girls that became like sisters to me. We formed a bond unlike one I’d known before.
